LIS BOARDING LIFE

Lancers International School boarding facility consists of two blocks, one for girls and one for boys. The students are housed in comfortable, large, airy dorms with a choice of 2 bedsand 6 beds in a room each room has its own bathroom.

Each block has a pleasant lounge where students may interact, watch TV and relax. The experienced Dorm Parents create a home like atmosphere for the students in their dorm, helping them to adjust, counselling them and supervising their work. A resident tutor will be available to help students with any academic difficulties. Each Dorm Parent is responsible for 15 – 20 students.

The students in the Dorm follow the same programme as the Day Scholars during school hours. After school they will return to their dorms to rest and have tea. Dinner will be served at 7.30pm and after dinner those with homework will work at the desks near their beds under supervision. Younger students will prepare for bed by 9.00pm. Lights out for all students is 10.30pm.

Food served at Lancers will be based on sound nutritional practices with a mix of Indian and other international cuisine; there will be a choice of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. All meals are compulsory. Boarders will have breakfast, tea and dinner in addition to the snack and lunch served to Day Boarders.

General health will be taken care of by the dorm parents and the school nurse; more serious problems will be referred to Max Hospital which is close by.

The school provides laundry and housekeeping services.
