On behalf of the Management and Staff of Lancers International School, I welcome you to the school s website and hope that in your explorations you will find enough to convince you that this is the school to kick start your child s educational journey

At LIS we consider teaching to be a noble vocation, a calling from the heart, soul and mind, moving far beyond a mere profession or career. The two key words which underpin every aspect of the teaching-learning experience in LIS are commitment and accountability.

We are committed to providing the young learners entrusted to our care with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to excel not only in this school but in their pursuit of higher education in institutions of international repute. We are also committed to equipping them with the values and attributes of character that will enable them to navigate with success the unchartered currents of a future which are only dimly comprehensible now.

The speed at which technology is advancing and the growing awareness of the need to interact in a global scenario demands a new approach to education. There is recognition of the need to create in the new generation a truly international perspective, an understanding and compassionate tolerance of divergent points of view and the development of independent critical thinking skills. LIS, in espousing the philosophy and the pedagogical principles of the International Baccalaureate Organization, is committed to providing its young learners with a platform to prepare for this exciting and challenging future.

As Principal of the Senior Secondary School, I am extremely conscious of the fact that while the world would benefit enormously from brilliant creative minds , what the world is in dire need of is compassionate, caring, gentle, and good human beings, who care more about making a positive contribution to humanity rather than seeking purely materialistic personal advancement

We are therefore committed, through our curriculum and various co-curricular activities, to the nurturing of individuals who will display the attributes of the Learner Profile of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Primary School Principal's Message

Ioften get asked what is so special about Lancers International School. When I think about the school I feel that it has so much to offer. The infrastructure rivals the standards of the facilities offered by the best in the world. The programme it proposes to implement is recognized for its excellence in nurturing global citizens. But there are so many other ways in which Lancers stands out for me

Recently a visitor to the school remarked that the minute you enter the academic block- the happiness, the camaraderie and the warmth are almost palpable. That, I believe is one the things that set LIS apart. We respect each other s opinions and space- be it students, teachers or the support staff. It s a place where everyone loves being because of the excitement of walking in each day and wondering what new thing will I learn today.

Lancers Learners are Leaders - this alliterative phrase has caught everyone s fancy. The Learners at Lancers lead whether it s in the acquisition of academic skills and knowledge, sports and creativity or service to the community. They stand up for their beliefs and ideas, which they arrive at through deliberation and objective thinking

What also sets us apart is our genuine interest in each child and our belief that he/she will learn only when the content and the environment are meaningful for him/her. Our teachers endeavor to make this possible and one can find every child engaged in meaningful discovery and exploration of subjects and ideas.
To create a platform where teachers, parents and children evolve together to create a new social awakening.

Ihave been associated with LIS since it began its journey in 2009 and it s been a voyage of discovery, challenges and the scaling of new heights. I know the coming years will bring in new targets to achieve that will bring us closer to our vision of what every Lancerian should be.
